Phoenix Loves... Posing.
I'm a bit too young to ride it properly but I thought you might all like to see one of my new favourite pictures of me. Mum and dad say I look like someone called the Terminator - no idea who or what that is but then they're always saying I remind them of things I've never heard of! Thanks to mum's cousin Mattias and his daughter Maja for lending me the sweet wheels!
Phoenix Loves... Water.
27th January 2012 - that was the day I was born and I've just turned six months old. It feels like I've been around for ages but dad says that it's not even one year and that he's been around for 29 years! He must be old with a capital O!
Mum's been telling me that the date my birthday falls on makes me an Aquarius. This has to do with something called star signs and everybody has one, with each person's sign being decided by when they were born. I think there's lots of other stuff to do with it too but I don't really understand it, however one thing I do know is that Aquarius is symbolised (thanks dad for the help with the big word) by the water carrier. With this in mind I thought the best way to celebrate my six month birthday was to make friends with water, and lots of it!
I get a bath from the folks every night before bed and it's always been the best part of my routine, but other than that, me and water haven't really hung out all that much. Recently though I've been taking the chance to get in the water anywhere and everywhere!
First up was on a trip to the sea with mormor and morfar. I've dipped my feet in a little stream before but never in the sea, which goes on forever and ever. We'd stopped off in a small seaside town in Denmark during mormor and morfar's trip to buy something known as booze - I think that's the stuff that makes mum and dad all weird sometimes... Anyways, check out my first dip in the sea:
It's been pretty warm here recently and sometimes a bit too warm for me, but I've found out that warm weather isn't so bad when you're in the water. Mum and dad have let me play outside in my bath which is great fun, cools me down and means I get lots of cuddles to dry off when I come out! Check me (and my first funky swimming trunks) out:
We recently went to see mum's farmor, mormor and morfar in Småland but for some reason they don't have baths at their houses so we had to be creative with where I had my baths! We tried somthing known as a bidet first and dad has helped me with the following to let you all know what one of these is... "Bidet is a French word for pony (and in Old French, bider meant to trot). This etymology comes from the notion that one rides a bidet much like a pony is ridden." To me it just looks like a really small bath and a bit too small for me I'm afraid. So next we tried the kitchen sink and although a little cosy too, this was much better as I could lie back and relax. Here I am:
So as you can all see, I'm doing my best to live up to being an Aquarius and having some fun in the process! To finish here's a video mum has played me ever since I was born and I've always loved watching it whenever I'm upset. Mum always knows best.
Miss you all,

Phoenix Loves... Ett nytt liv!
Hej till alla!
So we've been living our new life for a whole week now and as they always say in mum's favourite TV show Eastenders: "I like it here... I think I might stick around for a while!"
Things here are certainly a bit different from where we used to live. For starters you couldn't go anywhere in London without seeing loads of people, but where we live now we don't see that many people, although that might have something to do with where mum and dad have been taking me so far! We're staying with mormor and morfar and all around their house is lots of green stuff - green stuff for walking in, green stuff for relaxing on and when I'm a bit older, green stuff for climbing on!
One thing we like to do so far is walking. Well, when I say walking I mean my folks do the walking and dad carries me around in the Baby Björn! This used to belong to my cousin Harry when he was a baby but auntie Kate and uncle Jon are letting me use it at the moment - thanks guys! Being in the Baby Björn means I can see everything around me, especially tasty smultron (wild strawberries) which we found by the side of the path when we were on one of our walks. Check me out with the smultron we found:
One other thing that's been different since we've got here is the food I've been eating. I love my milk but for a little while now mum and dad's food has been looking rather tasty so they've started to let me have a little taste. They're even letting me sit at the table with them when they eat, in my own special chair! So far I've had pear, banana, peach, melon, yoghurt, porridge, mash potato and of course the smultron we found! Here I am tucking in:
One of the best things about moving is that we now have lots of mum's family close by - especially mormor and morfar as they're usually just downstairs watching motorcycle racing! My uncle Daniel and cousins Adrian and Isak are also near and already we've been hanging out with them lots. You've met uncle Daniel in a previous blog, and Adrian and Isak are his sons. They've been doing their best to try to make me laugh and I've been doing the same to them - they seem to like it when I do my new favourite laugh, the cough-laugh. It sounds like a cough but really I'm just laughing! Here I am with Adrian and Isak in the first of many family photos:
On Sunday it was one week exactly since we arrived and to celebrate we went to eat out. Now in London 'eating out' would mean a trip to Nandos or Wagamamas, but here 'eating out' actually means eating outside! Just round the corner from mormor and morfar's house is a great place called a nature reserve which is where everything is kept just as it should be - all pretty, green and watery. And with all that water around, me and dad couldn't resist having a little paddle. Check it out:
After we'd had a play we all went to grill some korv (sausages) over an open fire that they provide there. On the menu for me though was milk, but that's ok as I know it won't be long until I'm eating with everyone else. We had a fab afternoon and can't wait to go back really soon! Here I am relaxing with my mormor and morfar:
So as you can see our first week in Sweden has been lots and lots of fun however mum and dad say it does still feel a little bit like we're on holiday. Soon they'll have to start doing lots of boring grown up things like finding jobs and eventually a house for us to live in. I wish I had lots of money so I could pay them to look after me all the time but I don't think there's much demand for baby rockstars at the moment...
I think it's a little way away, but I can't wait for us to have a new place to call home. Mum and dad have been saving up to hopefully buy a little somewhere for the three of us. Mum wants a walk-in wardrobe and dad would like somewhere where he can play his silly music, but if you're reading this guys, don't forget about me! A big bedroom and a garden to relax in will do me just fine!
Well, that's all for now but I'll be sure to update you all soon with what I've been up to. So many things are happening at the moment I might need to write a new blog everyday, although I'm not sure my little fingers could handle that!

Phoenix Loves... London!
As you may have noticed, I haven't been blogging for a little while (more to be revealed shortly) but now I'm back, to let you know, I can really shake 'em down...
So as you can guess by my lack of blogging, things have been pretty crazy for the past few months with mum and dad running round doing this, then doing that, and sometimes even doing the other! Why? Well the reason for all this is that sadly they've been packing up our life in London to go and start a brand new one in Sweden, where my mum is from.
She's been living in London for more than 14 years and I don't think people stay somewhere for that long unless there are lots of nice people around who make you smile. It must have been hard for mum and dad to leave all their friends, but it makes me feel extra special to know that they'd do that for me! I don't think Sweden will just be good for little old me though, it'll be great for my folks too - I just know it.
The day before we left mum and dad invited some close family and friends for a picnic in my honour. Dad says he originally tried to organise a 'proper' naming ceremony for me but the people who do it wanted him to give them lots of money for the pleasure, so instead it was off to the (free) park! I'm happy about that as I already owe dad money for helping me buy mum a mother's day present so I don't want him to add more to my bill when I turn 18!
The day in the park was great - the sun shone and all my best friends smiled, although godmummy Kathryn did cry a little bit when her and goddaddy Tom read a poem for me and that seemed to make all the other girls cry too! Thanks everyone who came along and made it so special. Here I am with the two best godparents in town:
After the park we all moved onto mum and dad's favourite local pub The Salisbury where dad had planned a big party with all of our friends coming along. Now I know why he didn't want to spend the money on my naming ceremony...
The party had loads of kids running round, music being played and best of all lots of friendly faces. Dad and his friend Wayne also organised a charity auction, which is kind of where everyone agrees to pay lots of money for things which sometimes aren't worth that much!
Everyone was really happy to spend their money and we raised £365 for a charity called Whittington Babies. They help something called the neonatal baby unit at the Whittington hospital in North London where I was born. Luckily I didn't have to spend any time in the neonatal unit but lots of babies and their families do so I'm glad we could raise some money to help!
Thanks to everyone who came to say goodbye and who helped set up the party and raise all the money. Here are some pictures of the great leaving party:
Our final farewells were said the following morning at breakfast with some of our closest friends. Mum and dad were pretty quiet but I'm not sure if that was because they were sad or just had sore heads from the party! Thanks again to everyone for an ace send off and we're going to miss you all like mad. Please come and see us!
